Abstract

This research aims to analyze tourist attractions, visitor experiences, tourism facilities, accessibility, and the influence of social media on visits to two tourist destinations in the Kaliurang area, Sleman Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta, namely Kopi Merapi and Stonehenge Yogyakarta. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews with three informants who had visited both destinations, as well as direct observation. The results show that Kopi Merapi has a main attraction in the form of a direct view of Mount Merapi, along with a comfortable atmosphere and affordable culinary offerings. Meanwhile, Stonehenge Yogyakarta attracts visitors through its unique stone arrangement that resembles the original Stonehenge in England, combined with natural scenery and educational value. Both destinations are widely known through social media, which plays a significant role in encouraging tourist visit intentions. Facilities at both locations are generally adequate, although several aspects, such as internet connectivity and indoor lighting at Kopi Merapi, still need improvement. The accessibility of both destinations is easily reached by various types of vehicles. This research concludes that natural attractions, social media, unique visual experiences, and affordable prices are the main factors driving tourists to visit Kopi Merapi and Stonehenge Kaliurang, Yogyakarta.
